# Social Features
Vela serves the DeFi trading community by offering next-gen tools for perpetual markets, OTC, and the strongest commitment to support.
Web3 is a social space, and we have included the ability to share trades, as well as to see how a trader compares on the leaderboards. Frequent trading competitions encourage the Vela community to improve and to learn with cash prizes , while other unique incentives help foster a stronger relationship between traders and the platform. We are dedicated to giving back to our community through VELA buybacks, an initial beta tester airdrop, NFT giveaways, and more.\

We build powerful tools for users, and we also listen to trader feedback. We have a dedicated support team who will assist and a developer team who will continue to build based on the great ideas that our Vela family can provide. \
